WE SolVE stands for ‘Women Entrepreneurship through the Solar Value chain for Economic development in Tanzania.’ The project aims to tackle two issues – to reduce unemployment and provide access to clean energy, especially for rural Tanzanians.

The project involves a unique global partnership between BRAC Tanzania and Solar Sister – a non-profit organisation that trains and supports women to deliver clean energy to rural communities, together with Signify (formerly known as Philips Lighting).

The project is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Denmark (DANIDA) and the Signify Foundation, with additional investment from Signify (the company).
