The Citizens’ Charter Afghanistan Project (CCAP) is implemented to develop core infrastructure and social services by strengthening Community Development Councils (CDCs). It builds united villages, neighborhoods, and cities for improving relationships between the government and its people and reduces poverty by providing basic services. In addition, it channels resources and supports the government to ensure involvement of community men, women, and children in development initiatives and activities. It covers 176,292 households in the Khost, Paktia, and Nangarhar provinces of Afghanistan, and works to strengthen local governance.
